Dream LeBreton Flats - Multifaith Housing Initiative (MHI), Ottawa ON
DCarr Community Solutions was the development consultant for the Dream LeBreton Flats project, assisting MHI in negotiations with Dream Asset Management Corporation, developing the successful response to the National Capital Commission’s RFP for Lebreton Flats, project feasibility analyses and preparation of funding applications.
Dream LeBreton Flats is a partnership between the socially and environmentally focused Dream Asset Management Corporation and MHI, a non-profit supportive housing provider.
It is a mixed-use project on the National Capital Commission LeBreton Flats site that will create 601 new rental units - 247 of them affordable - in two towers at 665 Albert Street, between Ottawa’s future Ādisōke main public library and the Pimisi LRT station. Affordable units will serve priority populations, as identified in Canada’s National Housing Strategy, including:
women and children
Algonquin and other Indigenous peoples
veterans
recent immigrants
adults with cognitive disabilities
